intro - beginner responsive and unresponsive yoyo

the intro is a yoyo for the first time learner or experienced player, designed to be easily 3D printed. i designed this yoyo to introduce yoyoing to others and to provide a reference model for my 3D printed designs.

the intro uses industry standard bearings and pads made for responsive or unresponsive play. this model was designed to be 3D printed without supports and uses a spacer system allowing for fast and easy replacement of worn bearing seats.

the models are intended to be printed at 100% infill with randomized seams. i personally use a concentric pattern for everything (top/bottom shells, infill), variable layer heights. ironing on top surfaces is also encouraged for the Body model, but may impact performance if done on the Seat Spacer. i have only tested this model using PLA, which resulted in a yoyo that's around 64 grams. please ensure your printer is tuned to be capable of bridging.

once printed, the body will have a sacrificial layer at the axle hole that will need to be cut away with a deburring tool or xacto knife. please only do this with adult supervision.

for hardware, you'll need:
- 1x M4 lock nut
- 1x M4 x 16mm hex head bolt
- 1x size C bearing
- 2x response pads
-  (optional) 1x slim bearing, for responsive play

kits containing all of the required hardware are available here.

each of the models needs to be printed twice, except for the Hex. the Hex body is intended to sit on top of the head of the bolt under the cap to ensure the bolt stays fixed. the response pads fit into the spacer, the spacer into the body half, and the caps fit over the hardware on the lateral sides of the yoyo.
